Cornerstone Cottage is ideally situated for your every
need, in the lovely Eastern Suburb of Newlands, which
is a 5 minute drive or a short walk from Menlyn Shopping Centre. The upmarket centre has over 300 shops, restaurants that would satisfy most taste buds, 15
cinemas to choose from, an IMAX theatre, a Barnyard Theatre with live performances and yes it even has a drive-in
Theatre. You say you don’t have a car; well, you can still go to the drive-in and enjoy a movie in the comfort of a ’58 Chevy.
 
 
We are members of the National Accommodation Association of South Africa (NAA-SA), the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa and also the Gauteng Combined Accommodation Association.

Sandy was born in England but thinks there’s no place like South Africa. It’s been more than 36 years now that she has lived in this neck of the woods and is a very caring hostess who loves to spoil her guests, holiday makers or even those convalescing after an operation.
 

Kevin is Pretoria born & bred and complements his wife. He owns Menlyn Transfers & Tours and is a qualified and accredited Tour Guide. Most of his life was spent working in the environmental sciences field but now gets his enjoyment out of moving people around and taking clients on day tours to nearby attractions or overland to The Kruger National Park, Mpumalanga and Limpopo provinces.

   
  • We have two very large and comfortable en-suite rooms with their own private entry.
  • The Family Room sleeps 3 with a Queen size bed in the main room and a single bed in the interleading room.
  • The Garden Cottage sleeps 2 and has a King size bed or two single beds depending on your preference.
  • A spare mattress can be put into either room for a small child
  • Safe & secure parking is provided for all our guests.
  • Fridge facilities are provided.
  • Breakfast is served in our very cosy Breakfast room.
  • WiFi Hotspots provide access to the internet in all rooms.
  • A safe is provided in each room.
  • TV is available in each room as well as a DVD player
  • Fans are either installed in the room or available on request.
  • Hair Dryers are available in the rooms.
  • A large swimming pool is available for the guests to use.

  • We can advise and help plan your travel throughout South Africa.
  • Transport can be provided to and from the hospital if you have come to stay with us before and after your operation.
  • Tours of Tshwane/Pretoria, Johannesburg or any of the vast number of places depending on your interest. Kevin is an accredited tour guide.
  • We also offer a very personal transfer service to or from Johannesburg Airport.
  • Laundry service.

  • Family Room: R490 Single and R295 per person per night sharing (pppn sharing)
  • Garden Cottage: R490 Single and R295 per person per night sharing
  • Children under 7 years old R75 each
  • Children 7 to 14 years old R150 each
  • Child rates only apply when they are sharing with adults.
  • If only one adult is sharing with children the adult rate would then be a single rate.
  • Rates include Breakfast
 

The rates from 1 June to 15 July 2010 are listed below and include
Breakfast.

All names must be supplied at the time of making the booking and only those persons in whose names the rooms are booked will be permitted to stay overnight.

The booking will only be confirmed for this period with a 50% non refundable deposit and the balance within 10 days. cancellation within two months of the dates booked will result in no refunds.
*All our rooms are Non-Smoking to comply with the current legislation in South Africa

RATES

R450 per person per night sharing or R800 for a single person.
We will offer a discounted rate for stays of 5 days or longer.
